InterActive Nutrition initially turned to NeoMedia after deciding to launch its first ever mobile barcode enabled advertising campaign for its Mass-Tadon™ and Ignitro™ products, which are designed to boost performance and assist muscle gain.
Following the success of this campaign, InterActive Nutrition decided to launch a second mobile marketing campaign and came back to NeoMedia for support.
As one of the largest multi-sports festival in the US, The Arnold Sports Festival was to play a key part in driving consumer interactivity with the brand. Attended by 18,000 athletes and 175,000 sports fan, the event was the perfect platform for capturing InterActive Nutrition’s target audience of bodybuilders, athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

To drive CRM activities at the company’s booth, teaser QR codes were placed on placards at InterActive Nutrition’s show booth. Event attendees were invited to scan the codes to quickly sign up to the brand’s loyalty program to receive special deals and prizes.
To create a fully integrated campaign, consumers were also able to scan QR codes positioned in the Interactive Nutrition magazine advertisements that pointed consumers to the Interactive Nutrition Facebook pagewhere they could receive more information on InterActive Nutrition’s events, competitions and offers.
Using QR codes to create an interactive consumer experience, InterActive Nutrition was able to create a buzz around its brand at The Arnold Sports Festival. The company increased the size of its mailing list by 40% percent thanks to a high number of attendees scanning to sign up.
In mobilizing the brand’s presence, InterActive Nutrition was also able to visually demonstrate its products, bringing to life the brand and its key messages to create the ultimate consumer experience.
In response to the success of its second mobile marketing campaign, InterActive Nutrition plans to continue using QR codes at events and in print.
