2019

NEOM Company is incorporated as a single-shareholder joint stock company.

NEOM Bay Airport becomes operational.

2020

NEOM commenced construction on essential infrastructure.

NEOM Green Hydrogen Company announced in an equal joint venture between Air Products, ACWA Power and NEOM.

2021

Plans to build our industrial city, Oxagon, are announced.

A Rare Biodiversity Program is established to document and conserve the natural heritage of the region.

2022

The port was handed to NEOM in August 2022, making it the first operational asset in Oxagon.

2023

The NEOM Green Hydrogen Company completes financial close.

Global shipping lines start to call at Port of NEOM.

2024

NEOM continued to build the enabling foundations for a new sustainable region, with major progress on enabling infrastructure across mobility, digital, energy and water.

2025

The NEOM Board of Directors announced the appointment of Eng. Aiman Al-Mudaifer as Managing Director and CEO of NEOM.

2026

NEOM began its next phase of development, focused on sustainable value creation through trade connectivity and investment attraction across high-impact industries.

Port of NEOM advanced regional cargo connectivity through a multimodal European land bridge.
