Three past Damac… NEOM S.C. return to winning ways in the Roshn Saudi League

NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – January 30, 2026 – NEOM S.C. bounced back to winning form in the Roshn Saudi League with a valuable home victory over Damac, sealing the three points thanks to goals from Nathan Zézé, Alexandre Lacazette, and Amadou Koné. The match was played at King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk as part of Round 19.

With this win, NEOM S.C. raised their tally to 24 points, moving up to ninth place in the league standings.

Head coach Christophe Galtier started the match with Luís Maximiano in goal, supported by Mohammed Al Burayk, Ahmed Hegazi, Nathan Zézé, Faris Abdi, and Amadou Koné. The midfield featured Abdulaziz Noor, Salman Al Faraj, and Said Benrahma, while Alexandre Lacazette and Luciano Rodríguez led the attack.

First Half

The hosts made an early statement. In the 3rd minute, Luciano Rodríguez fired a shot that the Damac goalkeeper pushed out for a corner. Minutes later, Ahmed Hegazi rose to meet a cross with a powerful header, again denied by the goalkeeper amid strong appeals for a penalty for a possible handball appeals waved away by the referee.

NEOM S.C. maintained complete control of the game, and their dominance paid off in the 23rd minute, when Nathan Zézé opened the scoring with a perfectly placed header after a superb cross from Said Benrahma.

Damac attempted to respond but struggled to create real danger, apart from a single effort comfortably dealt with by Maximiano. In the 44th minute, the referee consulted VAR and awarded a penalty to NEOM S.C. Alexandre Lacazette stepped up and calmly converted to double the lead before the break.

Second Half

Damac showed more intent after halftime, searching for a way back into the match, but their attempts lacked real threat. In the 55th minute, Abdulaziz Noor came close to extending the lead with a powerful strike that the Damac goalkeeper saved with difficulty.

NEOM S.C. soon regained full control and pushed for a third goal. Substitute Saimon Boubaré rattled the crossbar in the 62nd minute, while captain Salman Al Faraj nearly scored in the 78th minute after breaking into the penalty area, only for his effort to be cleared at the last moment.

In the 82nd minute, Amadou Koné broke through one-on-one but saw his shot go narrowly wide. However, the midfielder made amends just minutes before full time, rising to head home a fine goal and seal a 3–0 victory for NEOM S.C.
