NEOM S.C. Secures Hard-Fought Victory Over Al Ittihad

NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Aprill 8, 2026 – NEOM S.C. claimed a valuable 4–3 win in a thrilling encounter against Al Ittihad in Matchweek 29 of the Roshn Saudi League, held at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

Head coach Christophe Galtier started the match with Luis Maximiano in goal, supported by a back line of Islam Hawsawi, Khalifah Al Dawsari, Ahmed Hegazi, and Mohammed Al Burayk. In midfield, Amadou Koné and Abdoulaye Doucouré were joined by Rayane Messi, Muhannad Al Saad, and Said Benrahma, while Uruguayan forward Luciano Rodríguez led the attack.

First Half

NEOM S.C. wasted no time, taking the lead just three minutes in through Benrahma then the lead was doubled by Luciano Rodríguez shortly after. Despite NEOM S.C.'s efforts to extend their lead, Al Ittihad responded with two goals from Youssef En-Nesyri before halftime, bringing the score level.

Second Half

Al Ittihad took the lead early in the second half through Houssem Aouar. However, NEOM S.C. showed strong determination to fight back, equalizing in the 55th minute through Muhannad Al Saad after a great assist from Al Burayk. Just before the final whistle, Alaa Hejji netted the winning goal in the 91st minute, his strike once again set up by Doucouré, sealing a dramatic victory for NEOM S.C.

The result lifts NEOM S.C. to 39 points in 8th place, while Al Ittihad remain on 45 points in 6th.
