NEOM S.C. signs Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bułka from Ligue 1
NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, July 4, 2025 – NEOM S.C. has signed Poland goalkeeper Marcin Bułka from Ligue 1’s OGC Nice, continuing an ambitious recruitment drive ahead of its debut season in the Roshn Saudi League.
Bułka, 25, arrives at NEOM S.C. with a reputation established as one of Ligue 1’s standout performers. Despite interest from major European clubs, he opted to join NEOM S.C., drawn by the project’s long-term vision and growing global profile.
NEOM S.C. Chairman, Meshari Al-Mutairi, said: “Marcin is a goalkeeper of outstanding quality and international experience. His decision to join NEOM S.C. speaks to the credibility of our sporting vision. We are building a team capable of making an immediate impact in Roshn Saudi League, and Marcin will play a vital role in that journey.”
Developed at Chelsea’s academy, Bułka lifted multiple youth titles in England before joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2019. At PSG, he was part of the squad that won Ligue 1 and reached the UEFA Champions League final in 2019/20.
He moved to Nice, on an initial loan, in August 2021. Headlines were made the following January when he made two penalty shootout saves to eliminate his parent club in the Coupe de France’s round of 16.
A remarkable 2023/24 campaign, during which he kept 17 clean sheets, led Nice to the best defensive record in France. His commanding presence in-goal earned him September 2023’s Ligue 1 ‘Player of the Month’ award and a call-up to Poland’s senior team, later being selected for the UEFA Euro 2024 finals.
The signing of Bułka marks another major step in NEOM S.C.’s recruitment strategy as the club prepares to compete at the highest level of Saudi football.
