NEOM S.C. secure three points against Al Khaleej

NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – February 21, 2026 – NEOM S.C. claimed a valuable 1–0 victory over visiting Al Khaleej in the match held this evening at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Sports City Stadium in Al Dammam, as part of Round 22 of the Roshn Saudi League.

Head coach Christophe Galtier started the game with Luís Maximiano in goal, supported by a back four of Khalifah Al Dawsari, Ahmed Hegazi, Nathan Zézé, and Faris Abdi. In midfield, Amadou Koné lined up alongside team captain Salman Al Faraj, Alaa Hejji, and Rayane Messi. Up front, Alexandre Lacazette partnered with Luciano Rodríguez. 

First Half

The first half saw a balanced contest between the two sides. However, the momentum shifted in NEOM S.C.’s favor after Al Khaleej’s Kourbelis was sent off. NEOM S.C. created several chances but were denied by Al Khaleej’s resilient defense, and the half ended goalless.

Second Half 

In the second half, NEOM S.C. intensified their attacking pressure. Their persistence paid off in the 88th minute when Lacazette converted a penalty, scoring the decisive goal of the match.

With this result, NEOM S.C. move up to 31 points, climbing to eighth place, while Al Khaleej remain on 27 points in ninth.
