In 2022, NEOM announced a strategic partnership with McLaren Racing to become the title partner of the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team and NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team racing teams, bringing two all-electric race series’ together for the first time under the banner of ‘NEOM McLaren Electric Racing’.

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championships sees 11 teams and 22 drivers go head-to-head in 16 races around the globe. For Season 9, Formula E welcomed new circuits, rules, rivalries, and a brand-new car, the Gen3. Faster, lighter and more sustainable than ever before, these third generation Formula E cars push to speeds in excess of 200mph.

Each X Prix Race Weekend includes two days of all-action wheel-to-wheel racing, world-class drivers and teams, and the cutting-edge ODYSSEY 21 electric SUV, with its five stunning, formidable environments all firmly in focus.

The Championship cars are a one-design fleet, a fully electric SUV - the ODYSSEY 21.

The ODYSSEY 21 can reach 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds, at gradients of up to 130%.

The ODYSSEY 21 electric SUV peaks at 400kw (550bhp) output.
