Hundreds of thousands of years ago, our early human ancestors roamed the area now known as the Hisma Desert. In this unchanged landscape, surrounded by expansive red sands, it is easy to imagine these early bands of humans navigating their way between spectacular sandstone rock formations and towering cliffs over 100 meters tall.

Hisma Desert is home to several important rock carvings, a tangible link to the beginnings of humanity.
