    The construction industry accounts for roughly 37-40% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, making it one of the largest single contributors to climate change. NEOM aims to reduce its environmental impact by fostering the adoption of sustainable and durable materials, implementing circular systems and deploying advanced construction technologies.

    Carbon Abatement

    Traditional industries, like cement production, account for around 8% of global carbon emissions, posing a significant challenge to achieving carbon neutrality goals. NEOM aims to minimize the industry's carbon footprint through Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) to reduce Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), advanced materials, systems and technologies.
